The Recession Effect
If have been looking for Krispy Kreme Doughnuts or Joe's Crab Shack they have all gone out
of business due to the recesion. A recession is a significant decline in economic activity spread across the economy, lasting
more than a few months, normally visible in real GDP, real income, employment, industrial production, and wholesale-retail
sales. A recession begins just after the economy reaches a peak of activity and ends as the economy reaches its trough. Between
trough and peak, the economy is in an expansion. Expansion is the normal state of the economy; most recessions are brief and
they have been rare in recent decades.
And because of that, these business (pictured below) have struggled to the point where
they had to stop business and close for good. The restaurant "Green Mill" was one of the first to go. On a Thursday night,
one of our photographers found a Sticky note on the premesis that read "Metro Prevention at Pub" If anyone has any information
about this, please contact us A.S.A.P. If you want any more information about the Krispy Kreme closings, please go to: http://www.godlikeproductions.com/forum1/message509191/pg1 for more information.
Like Krispy Kreme, Joe's Crab Shack has gone out of Business in Minnesota and the closest
is in Des Moines, Iowa.
The KFC in Maple Grove supposedly closed December 31, 2007 and this note is still posted to

Osseo Trolley
The Osseo Business Association for a year now has provided a trolley service through out Osseo. I am going on a ride
with Al or a frequent driver, Bob Ackerman.
Bob Ackerman (a.k.a my Grandfather) has driven the trolley in the summer and early fall. I interviewed Bob and learned
a lot more about the trolley that I didn't know before. He is a very careful trolley dirver. He trys to stay off the
main roads. Jefferson Highway (county 30) for example. He is also very aware of the traffic when crossing the main roads (Central
Ave). He invites everybody to join and ride the trolley since it is free. One time bob was on duty, he had given a couple
that just moved into Osseo a tour. Bob has lived in Osseo for 5 years this October. His Grandson Tony and Daughter Edye(prenounced
EEdee) have lived on 98th Ave, by Zachary Ln, have lived in the area for 9 years this December.
The Osseo Express Trolley started when the president of the OBA went to florida and noticed the Golf carts driving people
around the streets. So when he came back he presented to the OBA Board of Directors that they should have the same thing in
Osseo.
The Osseo Trolley is completely free! The OBA covers all of the expenses such as gas, repairs, etc. People can get a
ride on the Osseo trolley 7 days a week.
